# Spindrop vs UPMASH

The clearest difference is review sentiment: UPMASH at 88% against Spindrop's 46%. UPMASH also leads on ads (none vs shown). Spindrop's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (440 vs 10). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spindrop sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and UPMASH sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spindrop holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spindrop has 440 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Spindrop's written reviews are positive against 88% of UPMASH's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spindrop ships an update fortnightly, UPMASH every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
