# BandLab vs Loopz

The clearest difference is ads: Loopz at none against BandLab's shown. Loopz also leads on iOS requirement (10.2 vs 16.0). BandLab's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (513K vs 86). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BandLab sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Loopz sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BandLab holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BandLab has 513K ratings behind it against 86, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of BandLab's written reviews are positive against 60% of Loopz's.

BandLab ships an update every 4 days, Loopz every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
