# ESP vs Bible Record

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bible Record at none against ESP's 4. Bible Record also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). ESP's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ESP sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Bible Record asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bible Record holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESP has 4.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of ESP's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bible Record's.

ESP ships an update every 2 days, Bible Record every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
