# Lingvist vs Book Summary

The clearest difference is update cadence: Book Summary at weekly against Lingvist's monthly. Book Summary also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingvist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Book Summary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lingvist ships an update monthly, Book Summary weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
