# Hello Kitty Lunchbox vs Ethereal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ethereal at every 10 days against Hello Kitty Lunchbox's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hello Kitty Lunchbox sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Ethereal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hello Kitty Lunchbox ships an update every 3 months, Ethereal every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
