# CircleIn vs GetDefensive

The clearest difference is rating: CircleIn at 4.7 against GetDefensive's 3.0. CircleIn also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). GetDefensive's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GetDefensive sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. CircleIn asks for nothing beyond the download.

CircleIn holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CircleIn has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of CircleIn's written reviews are positive against 100% of GetDefensive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
