# Bitdefender Central vs Certo AntiSpy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bitdefender Central at none against Certo AntiSpy's 4. Bitdefender Central also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Certo AntiSpy's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 59%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Certo AntiSpy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Bitdefender Central asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bitdefender Central holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitdefender Central has 11K ratings behind it against 945, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Bitdefender Central's written reviews are positive against 83% of Certo AntiSpy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bitdefender Central ships an update every 3 weeks, Certo AntiSpy every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
