# Learn Languages vs DuoCards

The clearest difference is ads: Learn Languages at none against DuoCards's shown. Learn Languages also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 63%) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 1.4K). DuoCards's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Languages sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 2 months and DuoCards sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Learn Languages against 4.7 for DuoCards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Languages has 7.7K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Learn Languages's written reviews are positive against 63% of DuoCards's.

Learn Languages ships an update every 2 months, DuoCards monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
