# Midiacode vs Tholz Smart Home

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tholz Smart Home at 52% against Midiacode's 20%. Tholz Smart Home also leads on ratings volume (174 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). Midiacode's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Midiacode holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tholz Smart Home has 174 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Midiacode's written reviews are positive against 52% of Tholz Smart Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Midiacode ships an update every 4 months, Tholz Smart Home every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
