# VERO vs Tail!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tail! at none against VERO's 3. Tail! also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). VERO's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 190). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VERO sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Tail! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tail! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VERO has 1.5K ratings behind it against 190, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of VERO's written reviews are positive against 80% of Tail!'s.

VERO ships an update every 3 weeks, Tail! every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
