# VERO vs Hive

The clearest difference is rating: Hive at 5.0 against VERO's 4.2. Hive also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). VERO's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VERO sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Hive asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VERO has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of VERO's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hive's.

VERO ships an update monthly, Hive every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
