# Marie Diamond vs Impromptu

The clearest difference is rating: Marie Diamond at 4.9 against Impromptu's 3.0. Marie Diamond also leads on ratings volume (5.7K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). Impromptu's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Marie Diamond sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $26.99 per year and Impromptu sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Marie Diamond holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Marie Diamond has 5.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Marie Diamond ships an update every 3 weeks, Impromptu every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
