# DroneDeploy Flight App vs UDIGPS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: UDIGPS at 100% against DroneDeploy Flight App's 40%. UDIGPS also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). DroneDeploy Flight App's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 13). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DroneDeploy Flight App holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DroneDeploy Flight App has 5.3K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of DroneDeploy Flight App's written reviews are positive against 100% of UDIGPS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DroneDeploy Flight App ships an update fortnightly, UDIGPS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
