# Does not Commute vs Go Plane

The clearest difference is ads: Does not Commute at none against Go Plane's shown. Does not Commute also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 44%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Go Plane's advantage is ratings volume (73K vs 3.9K). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Does not Commute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Go Plane sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Go Plane holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Go Plane has 73K ratings behind it against 3.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Does not Commute's written reviews are positive against 44% of Go Plane's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Does not Commute ships an update monthly, Go Plane every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
