# Swift Timer vs Sling

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sling at weekly against Swift Timer's every 13 months. Swift Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swift Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sling sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swift Timer ships an update every 13 months, Sling weekly. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
