# Swift Timer vs Interval Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Interval Timer at every 2 weeks against Swift Timer's every 13 months. Swift Timer's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swift Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Interval Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swift Timer ships an update every 13 months, Interval Timer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
