# CuriosityStream vs Mythio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mythio at every 5 days against CuriosityStream's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CuriosityStream sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Mythio sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CuriosityStream ships an update monthly, Mythio every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
