# Hubstaff Time Tracker vs Topline OS

The clearest difference is rating: Hubstaff Time Tracker at 4.5 against Topline OS's 3.7. Hubstaff Time Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). Topline OS's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hubstaff Time Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hubstaff Time Tracker has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Hubstaff Time Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Topline OS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hubstaff Time Tracker ships an update every 6 days, Topline OS every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
