# Scope vs SBGems

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SBGems at none against Scope's 1. Scope's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 11.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SBGems asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scope ships an update weekly, SBGems fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
