# My Cube Timer vs Cube Timer

The clearest difference is rating: My Cube Timer at 4.7 against Cube Timer's 3.0. My Cube Timer also leads on ratings volume (66 vs 2) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). Cube Timer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Cube Timer sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Cube Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Cube Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Cube Timer has 66 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

My Cube Timer ships an update every 4 months, Cube Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
