# Mismatched Images vs 7 Little Words The clearest difference is rating: 7 Little Words at 4.8 against Mismatched Images's 4.0. 7 Little Words also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 25). Mismatched Images's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (92% vs 64%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them. Both are free to download. Mismatched Images sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and 7 Little Words sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters. 7 Little Words holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 7 Little Words has 6.2K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Mismatched Images's written reviews are positive against 64% of 7 Little Words's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about. Mismatched Images ships an update every 11 months, 7 Little Words every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively. ## The numbers | Metric | Mismatched Images | 7 Little Words | | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Free | Free | | Rating | [4.0 (25 ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/mismatched-images-categories/id972429993/reviews) | **[4.8 (6.2K ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/7-little-words/id1663292893/reviews)** | | Number of ratings | 25 | **6.2K** | | Positive reviews | **92.3% of reviews** | 64.0% of reviews | | In-app purchases | Yes | Yes | | Ads | **No** | Yes | | Update frequency | Every 11 months | **Every 5 weeks** | | Monetization | Free with in-app purchases | Free with in-app purchases | | Size | 87 MB | 230 MB | | Requires iOS | **9.0** | 16.7 | | Devices | **iPhone, iPad, iPod** | iPhone, iPad | | Age rating | 17+ | 4+ | | Developer | [TEDRA SOFT SRL](https://appshunter.io/developer/952227558) | [Blue Ox Family Games, Inc.](https://appshunter.io/developer/288074001) | ## What reviewers say ### Mismatched Images [App page](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/mismatched-images-categories/id972429993) This game challenges you to sort images into their correct categories, leaving out the misleading ones.
