# GeoBallistics vs RUN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GeoBallistics at 65% against RUN's 21%. GeoBallistics also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). RUN's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.3 vs 3.9). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GeoBallistics sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and RUN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RUN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 248 and 1.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of GeoBallistics's written reviews are positive against 21% of RUN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GeoBallistics ships an update weekly, RUN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
