# Effectify for Messenger vs AR Zombie Face Tracking

The clearest difference is rating: AR Zombie Face Tracking at 4.4 against Effectify for Messenger's 2.7. Effectify for Messenger's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Effectify for Messenger sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and AR Zombie Face Tracking sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Zombie Face Tracking holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 75 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Effectify for Messenger's written reviews are positive against 41% of AR Zombie Face Tracking's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Effectify for Messenger ships an update every 5 weeks, AR Zombie Face Tracking every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
