The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon King at 3.6 against Backgammon Classic Board Game's 2.0. Backgammon King also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 88 months) and ratings volume (150 vs 1). Backgammon Classic Board Game's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 15%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Backgammon King holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon King has 150 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
