# Severed vs HAAK

The clearest difference is price: HAAK at $1.99 against Severed's $6.99. Severed's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Severed costs $6.99 and HAAK $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Severed holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Severed has 1.3K ratings behind it against 101, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Severed's written reviews are positive against 76% of HAAK's.

Severed ships an update every 3 weeks, HAAK every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
