# Pangos vs Scholastic Series

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Scholastic Series at 60 against Pangos's 2. Pangos's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pangos holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scholastic Series has 60 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pangos ships an update every 12 months, Scholastic Series every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
