# Be Focused vs Focus Watch

The clearest difference is ads: Focus Watch at none against Be Focused's shown. Focus Watch also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 17.0). Be Focused's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 110) and review sentiment (91% vs 83%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Be Focused sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Focus Watch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Be Focused against 4.7 for Focus Watch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Be Focused has 4.3K ratings behind it against 110, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of Be Focused's written reviews are positive against 83% of Focus Watch's.

Be Focused ships an update every 5 months, Focus Watch every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
