# DIY Lake Science vs Math Learner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DIY Lake Science at 100% against Math Learner's 23%. DIY Lake Science also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). Math Learner's advantage is ratings volume (121K vs 15) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Learner sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. DIY Lake Science asks for nothing beyond the download.

Math Learner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Learner has 121K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of DIY Lake Science's written reviews are positive against 23% of Math Learner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
