# MultiTimer vs ToastBuster Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: ToastBuster Timer at free against MultiTimer's free with in-app purchases. ToastBuster Timer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). MultiTimer's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 10) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MultiTimer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ToastBuster Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ToastBuster Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MultiTimer has 16K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MultiTimer ships an update fortnightly, ToastBuster Timer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
