# MultiTimer vs Tick

The clearest difference is rating: MultiTimer at 4.7 against Tick's 2.0. MultiTimer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (16K vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MultiTimer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tick sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MultiTimer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MultiTimer has 16K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MultiTimer ships an update fortnightly, Tick every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
