# Notebook vs Book Note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Book Note at 100% against Notebook's 65%. Book Note also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). Notebook's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Book Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 24K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Notebook's written reviews are positive against 100% of Book Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notebook ships an update every 6 days, Book Note every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
