# Protrack GPS vs BT control

The clearest difference is rating: Protrack GPS at 3.7 against BT control's 1.0. Protrack GPS also leads on ratings volume (85 vs 2). BT control's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 34%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Protrack GPS holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Protrack GPS has 85 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Protrack GPS's written reviews are positive against 56% of BT control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Protrack GPS ships an update monthly, BT control every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
