# EBTH vs Local Eclectic

EBTH and Local Eclectic both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of Local Eclectic's written reviews are positive against 18% of EBTH's. EBTH's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for EBTH against 4.9 for Local Eclectic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EBTH has 25K ratings behind it against 405, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of EBTH's written reviews are positive against 84% of Local Eclectic's.

EBTH ships an update monthly, Local Eclectic every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
