# Double Exposure vs Pro Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Pro Camera at 4.4 against Double Exposure's 3.7. Pro Camera also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 28). Double Exposure's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double Exposure sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 4.3K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Double Exposure's written reviews are positive against 59% of Pro Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Double Exposure ships an update every 3 months, Pro Camera every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
