# Focus vs CommentExtractor

The clearest difference is rating: Focus at 4.4 against CommentExtractor's 3.7. Focus also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (57% vs 24%). CommentExtractor's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and CommentExtractor sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus has 1.8K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of Focus's written reviews are positive against 24% of CommentExtractor's.

Focus ships an update every 10 days, CommentExtractor weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and June 8, 2026 respectively.
