# Focus vs Fliper

Focus and Fliper both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Fliper's written reviews are positive against 57% of Focus's. Fliper also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Focus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Fliper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Focus against 4.5 for Fliper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus has 1.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Focus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fliper's.

Focus ships an update every 10 days, Fliper every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
