# Offtop vs Hooked

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hooked at none against Offtop's 8. Hooked also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 51%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Offtop's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 9) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offtop sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Hooked asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Offtop against 4.6 for Hooked. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Offtop has 4.4K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of Offtop's written reviews are positive against 67% of Hooked's.

Offtop ships an update every 2 weeks, Hooked every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
