# Offtop vs Swap

The clearest difference is monetization model: Swap at free with in-app purchases against Offtop's subscription. Swap also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Offtop's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 17%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offtop sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Swap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Offtop against 4.7 for Swap. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Offtop has 4.4K ratings behind it against 531, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Offtop's written reviews are positive against 17% of Swap's.

Offtop ships an update every 2 weeks, Swap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
