# iStickPro vs i

The clearest difference is monetization model: i at free against iStickPro's paid. i also leads on ratings volume (789 vs 10) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). iStickPro's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 2.3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iStickPro holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 789 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of iStickPro's written reviews are positive against 15% of i's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iStickPro ships an update every 7 months, i every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
