# AllModern vs Loxx Boxx

The clearest difference is rating: AllModern at 4.9 against Loxx Boxx's 3.4. AllModern also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (30K vs 12). Loxx Boxx's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AllModern holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AllModern has 30K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of AllModern's written reviews are positive against 50% of Loxx Boxx's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AllModern ships an update weekly, Loxx Boxx every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
