# AllModern vs Rugs.com

The clearest difference is ads: AllModern at none against Rugs.com's shown. AllModern also leads on ratings volume (30K vs 34) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Rugs.com's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AllModern holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AllModern has 30K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of AllModern's written reviews are positive against 50% of Rugs.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AllModern ships an update weekly, Rugs.com every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
