# Comixon vs Comic Movie Maker

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Comixon at none against Comic Movie Maker's 3. Comixon also leads on ads (none vs shown). Comic Movie Maker's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 39%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comic Movie Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Comixon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Comixon holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Comixon's written reviews are positive against 50% of Comic Movie Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
