# Text vs Web Messenger Chat Dual

The clearest difference is rating: Web Messenger Chat Dual at 4.5 against Text's 1.0. Web Messenger Chat Dual also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 2). Text's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Web Messenger Chat Dual sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Web Messenger Chat Dual holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Web Messenger Chat Dual has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Text's written reviews are positive against 53% of Web Messenger Chat Dual's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
