# Metrify vs Printer App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Metrify at freemium against Printer App's subscription. Metrify also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and device support (4 vs 2). Printer App's advantage is ratings volume (352 vs 7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metrify sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Printer App sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Metrify against 3.9 for Printer App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 352 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 0% of Metrify's written reviews are positive against 4% of Printer App's.

Metrify ships an update weekly, Printer App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
