# U9 App vs CalKeyboard

U9 App and CalKeyboard both sit at 3.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of CalKeyboard's written reviews are positive against 13% of U9 App's. U9 App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CalKeyboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. U9 App asks for nothing beyond the download.

U9 App holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: U9 App has 2.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of U9 App's written reviews are positive against 50% of CalKeyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

U9 App ships an update every 3 months, CalKeyboard every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
