# ModeSens vs NB44

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ModeSens at 3.5K against NB44's 7. ModeSens also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). NB44's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NB44 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ModeSens has 3.5K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ModeSens ships an update every 11 days, NB44 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
