# Brivo Access vs Welcome App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Welcome App at free against Brivo Access's subscription. Welcome App also leads on rating (3.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (146 vs 2). Brivo Access's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Welcome App holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Welcome App has 146 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Brivo Access's written reviews are positive against 7% of Welcome App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brivo Access ships an update every 6 weeks, Welcome App every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
