# Brivo Access vs b

The clearest difference is monetization model: b at free against Brivo Access's subscription. b also leads on review sentiment (43% vs 14%) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). Brivo Access's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for Brivo Access against 3.0 for b. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: b has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 14% of Brivo Access's written reviews are positive against 43% of b's.

Brivo Access ships an update every 6 weeks, b every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
