# Guardian Protection vs PowerView

The clearest difference is monetization model: PowerView at free against Guardian Protection's subscription. Guardian Protection's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (13K vs 2.4K). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Guardian Protection holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guardian Protection has 13K ratings behind it against 2.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Guardian Protection's written reviews are positive against 28% of PowerView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guardian Protection ships an update every 2 months, PowerView every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
