# CoolRemote vs GDMS

The clearest difference is rating: GDMS at 4.7 against CoolRemote's 3.4. GDMS also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 52 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GDMS holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of CoolRemote's written reviews are positive against 50% of GDMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CoolRemote ships an update every 52 months, GDMS every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
